Planning and Development of Blockchain-Based Key Data Certification Services for the Internet of Vehicles

With the rapid development of Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and autonomous vehicle technologies, the integration of networking, electronics, and automation in cars has led to an increase in both the variety and quantity of data generated during vehicle operation. The automotive industry has shifted its focus from traditional hardware development to emphasizing vehicle data and services. However, the data generated by vehicles are fragmented and lack fluidity, resulting in low trust levels within the industry chain. This fragmentation also leads to inefficient workflows when cross-organizational data sharing is required.

The main objective of this project is to implement a key driving data certification service for electric vehicles, utilizing blockchain technology as the core to provide a secure and trustworthy solution for key driving data. By leveraging blockchain technology, this project aims to enhance the reliability and security of vehicle data, improving the overall efficiency and trust within the automotive industry.

Feasibility Study of Applying DevOps Model in a Company

Following agile development, the DevOps (Development and Operations) model has emerged as a solution for IT departments to address rapidly changing demands. DevOps integrates cultural philosophies, practices, and tools to enhance an organization’s ability to deliver applications and services quickly. Compared to traditional software development and infrastructure management processes, DevOps allows for faster product development and improvement. This study aims to explore the feasibility of implementing DevOps in the future, conducted in two phases. The first phase will examine best practices and related tools of DevOps, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), container and microservices-oriented architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, logging, and communication and collaboration. In the second phase, a small application will be selected as a proof of concept (POC) to validate DevOps processes and tools. This will demonstrate how DevOps can assist development and operations teams with information integration, rapid and automated software deployment. The insights gained will provide scenarios and recommendations for future collaboration between development and operations teams, enhancing their cooperative efficiency and aligning IT system development and operations more closely with business needs.

Research and Application of Blockchain-Based IoT Data Security Exchange

This project aims to leverage the distributed ledger, encryption, and immutable characteristics of blockchain to establish a secure information exchange mechanism for different stages of the supply chain. By exploring security mechanisms and system architecture design for IoT data management based on blockchain technology, and integrating tokenized hardware blockchain modules with the IoT data management security mechanisms designed in this project, we will implement a prototype blockchain IoT data management platform system (Tokenized Hardware Management System) and apply it to autonomous vehicle use cases.

Research and Implementation of Blockchain Applications in Logistics

Blockchain technology was initially developed as a distributed ledger for Bitcoin transactions. Combined with the concept of smart contracts, blockchain has recently evolved into a universal distributed database and contract execution platform that is autonomous, traceable, peer-to-peer, decentralized, and Byzantine fault-tolerant. In recent years, blockchain applications have expanded beyond virtual currency to various industries such as consumer goods, industrial manufacturing, healthcare, and creative arts. Following IBM's white paper on “Device Democracy,” blockchain-driven IoT services (B-IoT) have been recognized as a key technology to overcome current challenges faced by the IoT industry.

This project aims to implement a BC (Blockchain) Tracker and its backend management platform within a logistics scenario. The project utilizes temperature-controlled delivery boxes (referred to as containers) instead of traditional shipping containers. Each container is equipped with a BC Tracker, which has networking capabilities and can measure temperature, humidity, and location. Throughout the delivery process, environmental and location data are continuously uploaded to the blockchain. Additionally, users can track the status of containers in real-time through the backend system.

BDD-Style Smart Contract Cloud Integration Testing Tool: A Case Study of Loyalty Points Exchange

In recent years, blockchain technology has gained significant attention, and numerous related applications have been developed. Smart contracts, which run on blockchain, are crucial components for executing business operations and transactions. Ensuring that smart contracts accurately and comprehensively reflect complex business rules is a critical software engineering issue in blockchain application development. However, there is currently a lack of systematic integration verification and testing mechanisms to ensure the correctness of developed smart contracts. To address this challenge, this project aims to develop an automated integration testing platform that supports the BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) style for Solidity smart contract language. This platform will primarily address the cross-cutting concerns in the development and testing of smart contracts. Using loyalty points exchange as a case study, the project will develop the necessary smart contracts and application scenarios in conjunction with the proposed platform. Usability tests on the developed system are expected to effectively reduce the complexity and burden of smart contract development and testing, thereby enhancing contract quality.
